A few days ago, I set out to find the first buildings and places in the old town of Thüngersheim. 

Time out is important

Even as a self-employed person, you can (and should!) treat yourself to a break. After several intense months, it was high time for me to really switch off – and that's exactly what I did: I took a good long break lasting several weeks!

Almost two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet with the mayor of Thüngersheim and an employee of the municipality to have initial discussions about my project.

A few days ago, I got in touch with the mayor of Thüngersheim - my home town. They are discussing a new photo project about the small wine village on the River Main.

Blasting of the cooling towers at KKG

On 16.08.2024 at 19:55, the time had come: the two cooling towers at the Grafenrheinfeld nuclear power plant (KKG) were blown up. With 1,340 electronic detonators and 260 kg of explosives, the two 143-metre-high towers went down within 30 seconds in a long-lasting cloud of dust. Around 55,000 tons of rubble were produced.

We spontaneously decided to use the Whitsun vacations for a short trip to Italy. Our destination: Capo di Ponte in beautiful Lombardy.
